Meetings

Village Council Meetings: second and fourth Mondays of each month, 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall

Planning Commission Meetings: first Monday of each month, 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall

DDA Meetings: third Tuesday of each month, 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall

Parades

Memorial Day Parade: always on the Monday holiday, and starts at 1 PM. Contact Don McColl at 734-417-5420.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade: Saturday March 16, 2013, starts at noon. Contact Ann Jarema at 517-861-0423.

Homecoming Parade: usually first or second Friday in October and starts at 4:30. Contact Pinckney High School at 810-225-5500 for more information.

Events

Art in the Park: Always the weekend after Memorial Day, over 100 arts and crafts vendors, food, music, and dancing. Saturday 10-6, Sunday 10-4. Contact Chamber of Commerce at 810-227-5086 for information.

Movies in the Park: Every other Friday during the summer, weather permitting! Activities start at 7 pm, movie starts at dusk. Bring chairs, blankets and bug spray! Popcorn and soda for sale. No alcoholic beverages are allowed in the park.  For 2013, the movies will be on the following Fridays:  June 28th, July 12th, July 26th, August 9th, and August 23rd.

Hootin’ in the Park: Thursday evenings at 5 pm from late July through end of August. In 2013, it will be held on the following Thursdays:  July 18th, July 25th, August 1st, August 8th, August 15th, and August 22nd.  Music, food and fun! Hosted by the local Lions Club.

Trick or Treating: always on Halloween, October 31, from 6-8 pm.

Pinckney Halloween Spooktacular.  The Spooktacular, sponsored by the DDA, will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 6-9PM.  All Activities are free!  Tentative schedule includes: Refreshments and Prizes, Trunk or Treat, Spooky Sports Events, Costume contest with prizes @ 7:30 pm, Haunted Forest from 7:30 – 10:00 pm, and a Jack O’Lantern Contest at 8:00 PM.  Contact Michelle Brunner at 734-878-6206 for information.

Light Up the Park: Tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 8, 2012, Light Up the Park is being organized by a new committee so  look for some changes and new events this year.
