JOB POSTING – VILLAGE CLERK

The Village of Pinckney seeks qualified applicants for the role of VILLAGE CLERK. This is a part- full-time position, M-Th 8am-4pm, with some evening hours required. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience and is also negotiable for highly qualified candidates. The successful candidate may have a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in education and relevant experience, municipal experience a plus; excellent written and oral communication skills; proficiency with PC-based office software, BS&A experience a plus. Typical duties include customer service; preparation of information packets for the Village Council, agendas and minutes, and all record-keeping for the Village; contributions to Village website and social media accounts; management of the Village Cemetery; and cross-training with other office staff positions. Attendance at Council meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month is essential. Local applicants preferred. Interested parties should provide a resume and cover letter.  This position provides an opportunity for the right candidate to expand their duties and authority while increasing hours and pay.
